Charles E. Garrison joined Stancil in 2008. His practice focuses on start-ups to middle-market businesses and their owners. Charles provides tax planning and compliance, M&A plus business advisory services. He is regularly engaged to provide M&A assistance from investment considerations and modeling, transaction architecture, due diligence, closing and post-closing integration both regionally and nationally.
Before joining the Stancil team, Charles served as Chief Financial Officer for the Whistler Investment Group, a middle-market real estate developer, and Corporate Secretary and Tax Officer for General Parts, Inc., a multi-billion dollar distributor of the CARQUEST auto parts brand. With each role, Charles was a valuable member of the senior leadership team, recognized for his skill at identifying and exploiting new opportunities, mitigating risk and achieving high reward goals.
A proud graduate of North Carolina State University and The Ohio State’s Fisher College of Executive Education, Charles and his wife Christie live in Raleigh with their four cats. His daughter, Isabella, is a student at the University of Alabama.
