Carter Roberts, CPA

Carter Roberts is a well-versed tax professional who brings his client-focused and results-driven approach to Stancil, supported by his experience in both public accounting and corporate finance. Carter has been a licensed CPA since 2017 and has spent the majority of his career in the public accounting industry, complemented by several years in a corporate FP&A management role. 

Carter strives to deliver practical, insight-driven solutions grounded in strong technical execution and supported by relevant tax law. He focuses on tax compliance and reporting for corporations and partnerships — many of which operate across multiple states — giving him deep expertise in navigating complex filing requirements and ensuring accurate and timely compliance across different jurisdictions. Carter earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Master of Accounting from North Carolina State University, where he built the technical foundation that underpins his work today.



As a North Carolina native, Carter grew up in New Bern, but has called Raleigh home since 2012. He is known for his hardworking, detail-oriented, and reliable approach, as well as his commitment to building strong, long-lasting client relationships and delivering a high level of client service. Carter treats each of his engagements as a business partnership, where both parties work together to achieve the best possible outcome. Outside of the office, Carter enjoys exploring Raleigh with his wife and Golden Retriever, as well as optimistically cheering on the NC State Wolfpack and Carolina Hurricanes.
